This is the opening segment of the planning meeting, where the high-level university administrators welcome all participants.

In this session, the Center and Site Directors will present the overarching vision of the center and highlight its unique capabilities. We'll talk about ambitious and inspiring goal for our center. Importantly, we'll talk about how the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) will play a central role in selecting research projects and determining the strategic path forward. The roadmap will be built collaboratively with the IAB, ensuring that the research aligns directly with industry needs and priorities.

NSF IUCRC Program Director, Dr. Mohan Kumar, will provide an overview of the Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) program. The NSF Program Director will explain how the program operates, its goals, expectations, and the opportunities it offers for industry collaboration.

The Industry Workshop is an interactive session designed to engage the industry guests in a collaborative discussion. This will be an opportunity for industry members to voice significant needs, pain points, and challenges that may not have been fully addressed in the project presentations earlier in the day. The session focuses on identifying areas where the center's research can be expanded or adjusted to better meet industry demands. It will be a chance for industry representatives to work together, leveraging design thinking principles, to brainstorm and propose new project ideas that could enhance the center's research portfolio.

This session is for IAB Members and NSF With Center and Site Directors where we will conduct, A discussion as follows: • Impressions of Day 1 • Day 2 project voting process • Project management and mentoring framework for selected projects • Election of IAB Chair and Chair-Elect (secretary).

This evening slot is allocated for a poster session, where faculty/students display posters summarizing their research projects. It's meant to be an informal setting where industry representatives can walk around, view the posters, and engage in one-on-one discussions with faculty/students.

Discussion of proposed projects, preliminary voting, and discussion of results, formulation of funding recommendation to center leadership. Finalize discussion of topics started at the day 1 formative IAB meeting.
